Fic Pimpage

I don't usually do this. In fact, I don't think I've ever done this before, but I read a little fic last night that was so good, so beautifully written, and so appalingly underrated that I had to pimp it and try to get it the attention it deserves. It always baffles and irritates me that little jewels like this slip through the cracks of fandom while so many nonsensical, juvenile trainwrecks get dumped onto Fanfiction.net and pull in 100 reviews per chapter. The reading level (and maybe intellectual level) for this fic might be higher than the average 16yr old fantard's interest or ability to appreciate, but I know there are many older fans out there (like me) who do appreciate and even crave those rare works of fanfiction that rise above the pollution clogging The Pit.

It's a Pein/Konan, and is a beautiful character study as well as a poetic introspection into their tragic relationship of madness, love, and devotion. Even if you're not particularly into this pairing, or just haven't read anything for them before, I recommend you give it a try.

I remember seeing it posted on chuunin a few weeks ago but never had time to read it, and then forgot about it. I probably wouldn't have heard about it again (it's a shame too, it's SUCH a masterpiece) had Cynchick not recommended it. I'm not much of a fanfiction reader anymore but I still keep track of my favorite writers, and I'm definitely adding you to my list! Thank you so much for writing it!

Aww, thank you! Cynchick's recommendation has indeed brought the story a lot of attention and I'm really grateful for that. I've really not written very much Naruto-fic (sheepishly, not as much as I'd like to have written, haha), but I hope to write more in the future. Thanks for all your kind words. ^ ^
