I have not read the books, but I have seen part of the show. It has been aver a year since I watched it though. So I am a little clueless.

I really enjoy it, though I think the TV show is better than the books overall, mostly because HBO has amazing writers.

Oh its raunchy. Some of the sex scenes are borderline softcore. Ive actually noted before that some of the scenes are so raunchy they become UNsexy. I sit there like "...really?"

However. It really depends on the couple and the type of relationship they have. Hoyt and Jessica's love scenes are very sweet and innocent, so they're toned down. Eric and Sookie have had a couple steamy scenes as well, which are by far the sexiest in the show, and they don't even have sex. Its pretty much whenever Jason, Bill, or Tara are involved that it gets over the top.

But on the whole, your parents probably wouldn't approve. If you cant watch the show I'd recommend reading the books. XD
