Vespertine is complete!

Published the last chapter today, only eleven months after the first. Ack, that's terrible. 2009 was a very hectic and stressful year for me, but 2010 is looking to be much better. And now I'm beginning work on a new fic - an epic, sexy, angst ridden, action packed KAKASAKU multichapter. Oh yes. Cynchick is finally taking on her OTP. I'm super excited for this one.

In other awesome news, Vespertine and Moments in the Dark have both been nominated in the Universal Fanfiction Open (UFO) Awards this year. Thank you anonymous persons who nominated and seconded me. Silver Lining won best in fandom last year; here's hoping the streak continues. XDD I'll post about it again when the voting opens.

FIRST! (I apologize for the dorkiness; it's a habit picked up unconsciously)
Vespertine was awesome, but Perception was just deep (I even related it to an AP English essay on understanding). Your ItaSaku fanfics are the few that portray him accurately, before or after we learn he's actually the good guy.
I would like to thank you for writing two of my all time favorite stories, and that you just made the pairing a whole lot better. You're the best; I'm not flattering, I'm stating the naked truth.
And for the meme, ItaSaku, definitely, because yours add meaning to the couple (instead of the meaningless screwing around or rape or just meaningless screwing) that's rare to see.
Thanks for writing two insanely well-written, interesting, squeal!worthy stories. :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) (filling up your page with emoticons is the least I could do).

Uh meme meme meme meme meme... let's see! Impression: Hmm... let's think back, to when I first joined the FC. Well, at first you know you kind of blended in with all the other girls I didn't know because I didn't know you, but then I started distinguishing your posts before we actually talked and hmm... maybe an impression that you were... critical? Not in an unnecessary way, just that you didn't tolerate things like other people did. NOT that you were intolerant, just that you weren't one to let things slide. This is still kind of the impression I have of you! Like I said, NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT in a negative "wow she's intolerant" sort of way. More in just a, you know what you tolerate and what you don't and you stick to it sort of thing.

Hm Naruto is the only fandom I participate in, so in a narrower sense I would just answer KakaSaku, more please haha! Which is already on the menu!

congrats again on completion of Vespertine. it's widely and generally adored, as it should be, but not as much as it will be with time.

meme: when i first stumbled upon your work, i read it through and concluded with complete certainty you were a well-known author slumming in fanfic land, adding little rough edges so none of your hordes of devoted readers (or your publisher) would suspect you, instantly recognize your style and out you. you were doin' it for love, messing with everyone. i was reeaaallly certain, too.

i maintain that the reality is not so very different.... just time-warped. you are a (about to be) household-name famous author who does stuff because you want to, because you listen to your muse. if, to quote John Donne, "letters mingle souls", fics like yours mingle hearts and hopes. my life has been brightened because of you, and that is the magic that makes people read, adore and follow. smut helps. XD

Hehe, I really don't see how you could have thought that, because when I look back at Perception and the older fics I cringe at the over-exposition, horribly repetitive diction, and general lack of refinement. I'm actually in the process of revising it.

But if you hadn't thought that and sent me that PM I wouldn't have gained you as an editor, and I would be nowhere near what I am now without you. :D

well...um...honestly? those mistakes were so horrible in comparison to the intelligence of the general stories and thier fluid, funny and clever narratives that they appeared to be deliberately faked, kind of sprinkled in. like a beautiful woman wearing a big fake moustache and funny hat.

and yes, i got it, in every sense. squoze my heart, especially the relevance of the images to the narrative. knocked me completely off balance. am presently getting up off my blown-away butt and formulating a reasonable reply.

I just finished reading this story and OMG I LOVE IT. Honestly, I loved the detail, the diction, your wording style, and the way you excellently depicted each character's personality FLAWLESSLY.
The first with that pairing that I instantly fell in love with.

I wish you would participate in the Avatar the Last Airbender fandom because, from what I’ve seen in your favourite stories list on fanfiction.net, you also like reading fics for that fandom and I bet you’d be able to whip up something awesome for it. If you were to write for it I’d wish that the pairing be a TophxAang pairing because there are far too little of those fics floating around and they are EPIC as a couple =P
