So on one hand, it makes me happy to see that Sakura still has a clear mind and fully intends to kill Sasuke using any means necessary - very kunoichi-like, actually. She's still being very reckless, but at least she's driven by the RIGHT emotions (aka, NOT love/obsession).  I can work with this.

AND....everything that's been happening with Sakura, Kakashi, and Sasuke right now is such a door to a shipping scenario I don't even know where to begin. Best believe I will be making use of it somehow. >:D

BUT ALAS.

A chapter of Naruto is not complete without massive Genderfail. Of course Sakura (cuz y'know, she's not a ninja or anything...) can't sense the killing intent OR feel the Chidori's chakra coming from Sasuke and has no idea he's about to slice her head open, Sylar style. Why does Kakashi have to show up and save her IMMEDIATELY? Why couldnt she have fought Sasuke for a minute or two? I know she'd be out of her league overall but FOR FUCK'S SAKE SHE'S NOT A HELPLESS DAMSEL! Once again she is shoved into the background to heal people--along with the other unnecessary female who only got in the way.

And now comes the epic battle between sensei and student, dun dun dun. And of course Sauce will godmod and Kakashi will end up and inch from death....before Naruto arrives to save him!

My only consolation here is that Sakura will heal Kakashi afterward XD

Of course he will, because this is how a simplistic, 40yr-old-boy's mind works: Sasuke is totally awesome and godlike and unstoppable and defeats everyone, that way when Naruto finally defeats him (the only one who can) it "subliminally" tells us just how awesome and powerful Naruto himself is. :|

But I thought that even though this manga is called Naruto that Kishi likes Sasuke better.

Therefore wouldn't it make sense for Sasuke to defeat Naruto, making Naruto his minion and for Sasuke to defeat Madara, thus stealing his pokemon ..erm his Uchiha eye collection and ruling the world with the Moon's eye plan.

And impregnate Sakura, Karin, Ino and Hinata to have Uchiha babies.

It really should just be called "Sasuke". Someone should research the exact number of panels Sasuke and Naruto each have and compare them. I bet Sasuke would have more.

I totally agree. Sakura should have definately fought Sasuke at least for a little while. The only limelight she's ever got when it comes to fighting is when she killed Sasori and even then she wouldnt have been able to if it werent for Chiyo helping her...

I too am relieved that she's not going completely OOC and deciding to join Sasuke. That would most definately have been a grave error on Kishi's part.

I know he said something in an interview about Sakura stepping up into her heroine role. If this is his definition of that... *head desk*

But, let's wait and see. Maybe Sakura will pull out the awesome. She's done it in the past.

I would love to see Sakura step in and protect/save Kakashi while he's getting his ass kicked (because you know he will asdfasdfk). In fact she'd better, otherwise that would mean she's sitting on the sidelines wringing her hands and doing nothing like she used to do pre-timeskip.

I wouldn't be surprised if this IS his idea of female heroism, because it's precisely the Japanese view of women in every aspect of life: they can be their best and even be powerful, but they are still completely ineffective and outclassed when compared to men.

Well, not really. She SHOULD have been like this. She was teamed with two of the most promising rookies, pupil of a potential candidate for the village leadership. She studied under the HOKAGE. She became an talented medic. She killed an Akatsuki.
One must have guts, be persistent and brave to accomplish what she did, no? Sakura SHOULD have been the awesome person we admire. Stupid Kishimoron spoiled her character for the sake for his mancrush on Sasuke/his interest in males only. Don't let him kill her! :(

Yes, I totally agree... and I want Kakashi to beat the shit out of Sasuke, but I have a very bad feeling about this...

Kishimoto does not only do genderfail he does Kakashifail, pretty well too. I am sorry that n you last post, I wrote that "482 was not so bad, that Sakura was acting strong, like a ninja (even if arrogant)"... Now, I want slap the old me...

You know, I know Sakura wouldn't probably win... but if would have fought in an awesome manner and after one or two chapters (when we see she is out of her league, but still good), Kakashi gets there, it would have been right with me...

You know what I hate? Sasuke just behind Sakura, with a super killer intent, Sakura thinking (Well, so, how do I kill him? I am so good faking, that I even low my guard and show him my back)... she doesn't feel him (Shit, even the fucking chidori does make a bird sound doesn't it?)

And Kakashi can feel the ill intent and intensity meters away... It's like a way to show us that a woman need a man by her side, to be worth something.

Obviously, you're expecting too much of Kishimoto. Don't forget that he's sexist and that to him, females are inferior to males.
I also am a Sakura supporter but well, even if she does nothing (as usual duh), I'd say that Kishimoto limited the damage. Admit it, it could have been much worse (like her desperately pleading the Sauce to uh, basically fall in love with her).
I didn't realize that Sakura hadn't noticed Sasuke's killing intent. That was stupid indeed, for someone who killed an Akatsuki. But hey, AT LEAST, she managed to trick Sai. And Kiba, and Lee. Can't ask too much of the author, heh? :(
