Okay, I just read Vertigo and I really enjoyed it.

My favorite part was the scene where Deidara realizes she's a spy - I thought that was really well done, intense and fraught with violence and I liked how afterward he was smart enough to start putting together things she'd said before to realized that maybe she wasn't lying about telling him before she came back to try and convince him to help her.

Also, after the Deidara/Sakura break up (I can't believe people really thought he meant what he said, haven't they ever been in a real verbal fight before - it's not about what's real, it's about how much you can hurt the other person) when you shift to Hinata/Naruto without specificing who's being all lovely-dovey - I really liked it. I was trying to figure out if it was a dream or a flashback or what. Nice job.

I have to say, though, I was a little disappointed that Sakura didn't do more in the final fight. Even though it was lampshaded, I was still sad she didn't get to do more.

Im glad you enjoyed it! Im always happy when people who arent specifically DeiSaku shippers like my little (huge) fic. XD

I was suprised by peoples angry reaction about Deidara in that part too. I think it may be that those people were the younger ones, who maybe havent been in a real relationship and dont realize how people lash out with words to force their own pain onto their partner.

I would have liked to make Sakura fight more in the final battle too, because nothing is better than a pwning Sakura, but I couldnt really see a way for her to do it without becoming too-overpowered and ooc. Sakura is a strong fighter, but she definitely has her weaknesses and I honestly dont think she could go up against Madara for very long, especially not when hes specifically out for her blood. Short of busting out some uberhax hidden power like a mysteriously obtained Sharingan (like some fics Ive seen, lolz) I just couldnt imagine her taking out Madara. Besides, we've seen in canon that when there are other fighters with her and she isnt forced into combat, she falls back to to her actual job of saving people. Maybe in a future fic Ill have her singlehandedly whoop the bad guys ass. XD

Glad you enjoyed the fic though. Im working on a SaiSaku and an ItaSaku right now, hope youll read them when theyre posted. :)

That's probably it. Another time when I question fandom's imagination (that they can't understand what it's like to hurt that much.)

I can't wait to read your Sai x Sakura, and I'll probably give the Itachi/Sakura a try as well.

More is always great! There definitely needs to be more and it'd be great if you drew them. You're so talented, both as a writer and an artist, lol, that anything you do will be beautiful, I'm sure.
